We can pay you either by check, or by direct deposit. What sort of benefits do you offer? MSN offers healthcare coverage to all pharmacy employees through Continental Assurance Company (a CNA company). Employees who work more than 32 hours per week with us are eligible for this benefit. This coverage includes hospitalization and dental care. We also offer life insurance coverage through UNUM, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions after 30 days of employment. The Staffing Coordinator in your area can give you more information about these benefit plans. Do I need to have my own professional liability insurance? MSN covers all of its pharmacy employees with $1 million per/$3 million aggregate professional liability (malpractice) insurance policies. We do not require that pharmacy employees provide their own coverage. I am licensed in multiple states. Does MSN offer travel opportunities? Because we have over 150 branches across the country, we can offer travel opportunities through any of our local offices. We can also offer both rural and metro area travel assignments. You let us know where you're interested in traveling, and the time commitment you can make to a travel assignment, and we do the rest. Who pays for any travel expenses? For most short-term travel assignments, travel expenses are paid by the pharmacy employee, and reimbursed fully by Medical Staffing Network. For long-term travel assignments, especially those involving air travel, travel is usually booked and paid by Medical Staffing Network. Do you pay for drive time? Standards vary across our client base. Ask your Staffing Coordinator for more specific information regarding travel time. How much of a time commitment am I required to give? That is determined by you. You let us know the length and types of assignments that you're interested in, and we will contact you when assignments matching your availability profile become available. The more flexible you are, the greater the variety of assignments we can offer you. Can you guarantee me a specific number of hours or days? We cannot guarantee a set amount of hours or days per week unless we are working with a contract position. All of the jobs that we have available are contingent on client demand and the availability profile you give us. Remember, the broader the availability profile you give us, the more opportunities we will have available for you. Why should I choose Medical Staffing Network? Pharmstaff has been a nationwide provider of Pharmacy staffing solutions since 1982, working with Pharmacy professionals every step of the way to meet their career goals. But we're also committed to providing you with the best benefit of all: control over your own career. Am I an employee or independent contractor? All MSN pharmacy professionals are employees. That means we handle things like payroll tax withholding, worker's compensation insurance, professional licensure and social security contributions. By working with our professionals as employees, we also have the ability to provide health insurance and 401(k), as well as many other benefits. We take the burden off of you, so you can focus on advancing your career. Do I work for you or for the pharmacy? No matter the work setting, you are an employee and representative of MSN. We handle all payroll matters through our central office, freeing you to provide the best level of patient care service to our clients. Do you charge for your services? Our services are provided to pharmacy employees at no charge. Unlike some employment and headhunting agencies, we do not charge any sort of "search" or "placement" fee to pharmacists or pharmacy technicians seeking employment with MSN. What if I'm only interested in traveling a certain distance? We work within the guidelines that you give us, not only in terms of travel distance, but practice setting you wish to work in. Remember that the more broadly defined those guidelines are, the more opportunities we will be able to offer you. |
